JOHANNESBURG, Gauteng - A Johannesburg metro police officer is hailed as a hero after rescuing the victim of an attempted hijacking in a shootout with four men in Soweto.
Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said: "A metro police officer on his way home after completing a tour of duty came across an attempted hijacking along Impala Road in Protea, Soweto."
