Porsche revealed teaser images of its new
Macan SUV set to have sporty valences and a coupe-like body style.
In May, the
new model was spotted
undergoing testing. Now we can reveal images of the Macan out on the open road!
The Macan shares its platform and underpinning from the Audi Q5 and upcoming Q6, a fact that’s demonstrated by the Audi-type wheels on the test vehicle.
MONSTER POWERThe differences will obviously come in the luxury department and in the fact that the Macan will be a sportier offering that the Q5.

The Macan has a larger grille, no creases on the bonnet, a sloped back and longer overhangs.
The Macan and Cayenne will be differentiated in power and price, with the former offering more mainstream engines borrowed from Audi than tuned to Porsche levels, culminating with a 280kW V6 for the Macan Turbo.
The engine will make the top-of-the-range Macan some 60kW more powerful than the Cayenne base model. Think of it as the Cayman positioned below the 911 in the German automaker’s model range.
Will the new model become another best-seller in the premium SUV market or will it earn the
ire of Porsche purists! Share your thoughts in our Readers' Comments section below.
