PDAs on Facebook need to stop

accreditation
Everyone has the right to express themselves however they choose, but sometimes we wish they would express themselves a little be less - especially when it comes to declaring their love on Facebook.

In response to the article Stop it, you’re making my eyes bleed by Lili Radloff  our readers had this to say:

Finally someone else who gets it…

I always wonder why you can’t just pick up the phone telling the person how much you love them etc. why is it that they feel the need to include all of us? I believe that the relationship is between those 2 people and does not need affirmation from others. My thoughts when seeing this is always something like… ‘Argh get a life or a room!’

Sometimes I wonder if it’s just them trying to convince themselves and others that they actually feel the way they make out in their statuses.

Even worse when they do this and it’s “addressed” to the kid and that kid doesn’t even have access to the social platform. When I wanna tell my kids I love them and I miss them or I’m proud of them, I wait until we’re together. That way they know I’m being sincere.

No you did not get out on the wrong side,  I absolutely agree with you. I have taken to “unfollowing” these poor souls.   It smacks of the proverbial blowing smoke up their asses!

I totally agree with you with regard to telling your loved ones/ significant others, on social media.  Totally uncalled for - it is not personal and definitely showing off to the world but not to the person for whom it is supposed to be.

These days people who are so onto social media/ face book, have TOO MUCH time on their hands. They should wake up and see what's going around them and in the world, not only about their telling  the world about how much certain person means to them!!
Get a life!!
