Is the #crotchie the new #selfie?

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen was officially the hero of the internet earlier this week, when she took a #legfie (leg selfie), which clearly showed her stretchmarks. And everyone praised her for being so brave to put herself out there - yes, even supermodels have imperfections people.

 

Teigen's #legfie was in fact more than just that, it was a full on #crotchie.

 

Now I ask you, what if crotch shots like this start to become more of a thing? Yes, Teigen inspired us to love our body's and its flaws by posting this body confidence pic; but truthfully, I really don't want to see my friends or colleagues' crotches popping up in my feed.

 

Taking snaps of our legs have, since the launch of Instagram in 2010, been a prominent content idea. An it all started with the good old hot dog legs. We loathe this trend that (still!) plagues our Instagram feed - especially during beach season. Kinda like this...

Yet, now this moved onto shots of bare legs and shoes; and most popular, perhaps, the duvet legs shot (usually flat white, iPad or kindle in hand)...

   

 

 Is the #crothie just the natural progression of things? 

 

What do you think? I really, really hope crotch shots won't become a full on thing. Loved what Teigen did, aka basically not giving a damn, but I would hate it if this actually filled up my feed. #thatsall
