5 things that are damaging your skin right now

accreditation

Here's a list of the top things that you should keep from to make sure that your skin stays radiant and healthy.

Chlorine

Enjoy a dip in the gym's indoor pool? The chemicals used in pool cleaning products such as chlorine dry and age your skin.

Chlorine clings to your skin even after a good shower. Using a loofa with a good foaming soap can help get rid of those harmful chemicals.

Sleeping with your make-up on

Naughty, naughty! This is one of the many reasons why many women find themselves with unexplainable rash and pimple break out. Make-up generally clogs your pores and this leads to acne.

The smudges on your pillow collect a lot of bacteria which also puts you at risk of contracting bacterial infections.

Hair products

Just like make-up, hair products clog your pores, but what makes them  much worse is that they contain chemicals that can easily dry and damage your skin. Be careful not to use too much hair moisturiser if you are going to wear your hair loose and in your face.

Popping pimples

If you are constant pimple popper than I suggest you get rid of that nasty habit fast.

Not only does it create scarring on the pimple area but it pushes back the bacteria deeper into your skin. And this is one of the reasons that you are more likely to develop another pimple on the same area.

Salts and spices

Consuming foods with lots of salts and spices can cause water retention in the skin. This will generally give you very dry and tight skin.

Cutting down on your spicy foods can benefit your skin in the long run.
