I’m the queen of multi-purpose everything; if I run out of something, I have a seriously good (at times odd) replacement. Lip gloss as eye shadow anyone?
Here are my tips to making lazy, look good.
Two instead of 22
The typical bathroom cabinet of someone who religiously cares for their skin will look something like this; makeup remover (sometimes pre-makeup remover, gasp!) cleanser, toner, exfoliator, face mask, serum, day cream with SPF, night cream and eye cream. And, if you’re on an anti-ageing or acne regime, you’re likely to add two or three more products to your list list.
Me? The resident lazy girl – I have two of the above; an exfoliating face wash and the most important beauty product of all, a moisturising sunscreen, which keeps my skin hydrated and protects against ageing. My picks? Yves Rocher Three Detoxifiying Teas Exfoliating Foam Cleanser and Black Opal Even True Nutritive Skin Moisturiser SPF 15
Blue moon blitz
There's no monthly facial for me, who has the time (or the money)? Instead, once a month, while catching up on an episode of Two Broke Girls, I blitz blackheads and congestion with a deep cleansing face mask. My choice? Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask.
Winter is coming
In winter, my skin tends to flake a bit, but when it gets to the point of flaking a lot, I add one more product to my routine: a hydrating night cream. I apply all over my face, neck and decolletage just before bed so that my skin benefits from the moisturising boost - promise it's worth it. Go for Aficology Moisturiser.
