What to expect at Decorex Cape Town 2015

accreditation
The folks organising this year’s Decorex are pulling out all the stops, by installing a 5 bedroom walk through display for convention goers to enjoy.

The house will be put together by some of the Cape’s leading designers, decorators and product manufacturers and will feature all the very latest products and home trends on offer. Designers will be on hand to assist visitors with tips and ideas for their own homes.

Sponsored by Private Property, the country’s definitive online property resource, the Decorex Trend House installation will comprise a bedroom and en-suite bathroom, an open-plan lounge and patio area, as well as a cigar lounge and home office.

Beachcomber Home Décor is creating the bedroom – with a vibrant tropical theme featuring luscious leaves and colour prints.

IronStone and Constantia Fabrics are collaborating in the creation of the Trend House’s lounge and patio areas.

The overall theme is going to be “semi-industrial and classical” with IronStone wrought iron furniture teamed with artisanal prints and custom made soft furnishings from Constantia Fabrics.

With mixed and textured metallics a big design trend for 2015, the Private Property Trend House will use black and rust effect iron to create worn but stylish room settings.

Spitfire Furniture will be designing the cigar lounge and a home office, reflecting the strong trend towards masculine décor in 2015.

Sue Clarke, Head of Marketing at Private Property said: “Private Property will have a dedicated space within the Trend House installation, providing the perfect platform from which to engage our customers, with whom we normally only interact in the virtual domain; to have ‘real’ conversations and to communicate our core brand message: namely, that there’s a home for everyone at Private Property.”

Not only will visitors to the Decorex Private Property Trend House have access to property experts who can supply them with the very latest market-related facts and figures and give them hands-on advice on how to search for the home of their dreams, they will also be able to draw real-life design and decorating inspiration from the creative spaces on display, using this to transform the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas of their own homes.

“We know that South Africans are proud homeowners, forever looking for new ways to improve their lifestyles and increase the value of their homes. The Trend House will give them all that, and more,” says Clarke, adding that Private Property will be offering visitors to Decorex Cape Town a special on the 11th edition of Property Power magazine, an invaluable all-in-one guide to property in South Africa.

Decorex Cape Town takes place from 24th to 27th April 2015, at the CTICC and tickets can be bought on www.decorex.co.za or at the door.
