"My husband accidentally kissed my cousin in the dark"

My cousin came over to visit before the lights went out and my husband came home from work just shortly after the lights went out. He has his own keys to the house so he opened and came in silently. While the lights were off I heard my cousin scream because someone just caught her from the back held her tight and kissed her on her cheek. It was my husband thinking it was me..

Just then I got the rechargeable light and went towards my cousin to see why she was screaming. My husband realised what had happened and looked at my cousin shocked. He was so shocked and apologetic. I really wanted to laugh. The fear he had in his face was too much. I couldn’t hold it in and laughed anyways, and he was so happy at the end that I wasn’t angry with him.

Now when the lights go out and he comes home, he will first check who he is grabbing from behind- Jameela

Well I live in Mamelodi, Pretoria. Once my niece came to visit and unfortunately we had load shedding at around 8 pm. The thing is my brother lives in Limpopo and he installed one of those generators which switch on immediately when the lights go off.

Since our home doesn't have that privilege we started lighting candles she got so excited she started singing ‘happy birthday to you’. We all stopped what we were doing and realised what was going on and we started laughing, the innocence was just too cute. She thought it was someone’s birthday! – Tambudzani

I'll just jump into my story by giving you a brief background. I had given up meat for around 3 months. That was until recently.

 My mom bought chicken pizza and I just HAD to have it. So I grated extra Mozzarella onto my pieces. Then I walk over to the microwave, my mouth watering from the anticipation of my melted, gooey cheesy delight. I open it, put my plate in it, set if for a minute and then... Darkness.

Load shedding had struck at the worst moment. So I sat for 2 hours waiting patiently for my meaty treat. Suffice to say it was divine. – Dudu

Having load shedding has made the best of the situation and we spend more time with each other. We relate our day, stories and experiences. At times, we actually switch over just to spend quality time together.

We have made lights in each room attached to a battery and before load shedding kicks in, we switch to battery. Although it is an inconvenience, we have bonded more now than ever
