Breathtaking views, large sunny terraces and indigenous gardens are at the order of the day here. The décor is all about clean lines and tranquil elegance. A languid sunny afternoon spent at this beautiful venue is sure to cure you of all your cares.

Food:
Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin is young, passionate and devoted to her craft. As she states on her menu, “You will notice a common thread in what I do and who I am. Love. I cook with love and my food is love."

While the cynics among us may roll their eyes, I challenge you: Wait until you actually taste the food. I definitely felt loved after sampling the tapas menu. A mixture of fine French classics with a contemporary twist and a dash of Thai influence makes for a wonderful gastronomical experience.

Wine:
As it is set on Steenberg Estate I would suggest enjoying the beautiful Steenberg wines. Their Methode Cap Classique is happiness in a glass, and their Klein Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc is not only fresh, crisp and everything you want in a sav blanc, but also affordable. Besides that they also have a comprehensive beer and spirit offering.

Price Range:
While Bistro Sixteen82 is most definitely an elegant, upmarket experience, it won’t break the bank. Especially with their current winter special which comprises 5 tapas of the day to share with a glass of wine per person for R300. Or have a look at the breakfast and lunch menus here.

Important to note:
Their lights are always on and their kitchen is always cooking, so load shedding is never a problem. They will be closed for renovations between the 1st and the 31 of August, so head over there now.
