You can now rent Madiba’s former safari home for R69 000 a night

According to the New York Post, this Mozambican-style, six-bedroom dream house was built for our late former president back in 2001 as a private getaway  for himself and his family.  Now anyone (with enough cash to spare) can check in and enjoy the heated pool, meals prepared by a private chef, game drives, and so much more.

Just two and a half hours away from Johannesburg, this beauty is situated among the Shambala Private Game Reserve, and has hosted many famous guests, like the Queen of Talk herself, Oprah Winfrey.

The house can accommodate up to 12 guests with its a large boardroom, dining area and spacious living room.

According to the New York Times, the guest book is signed by notable politicians and celebrities who stayed there; and can be perused by those who rent out the home.

While it sure is a lot of money, it sounds totally worth it. To go to a place that sounds this amazing and was once enjoyed by one of the greatest men of the 20th century, would be heavenly. It’s just a pity I don’t have that sort of cash.
