3 times Neil Patrick Harris was a really sassy Oscars host

accreditation
Being the host of the Academy Awards is no easy job. You have to be entertaining, funny and most of all keep the audience captivated through out the show.

As far as Oscar hosts goes, Niel Patrick Harris was pretty damn awesome.

He made his debut pretty unforgettable with a great opening number, exposing seat fillers in the audience and walking on stage in nothing but tighty whities!

And while we expected NPH to be a funny host, we all hoped he would bring out his signature sass to shake things up at the show - and he did not disappoint.

Within the first minute of his monologue he already fired out feisty comments and continued to do so throughout the show.

Here are his top 4 sassy moments:

1. When he mentioned how white the Oscars were

This years Oscars were heavily criticised for being too white and NPH was not afraid to remind them when opening the show.

2. When he made that Oprah joke

NPH mentioned just how rich Oprah was by comparing her to the $300 million the movie American Sniper made at the box office and Oprah was like "WHAT?"

3. When he did some clever wordplay

After Citizenfour, a documentary about famous whistle blower Edward Snowden, won an Academy Award, NPH hit us with this little gem:

4. And finally there was that one awkward moment

After Dana Perry (left) accepted her award with Ellen Goosenberg Kent for best short documentary film, Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press , a tribute to Dana's son who committed suicide...
