Can you believe that Britney's first hit 'Baby One More Time' is 16?

Get ready, we're about to make you feel old.

Britney's Baby One More Time is 16 this year!

That's right. It was 16 years ago when that adorable little future Queen of Pop danced her way into our lives.

Things were so different back then.

Britney herself was only 16. She was, like, totally going to remain a virgin until marriage. And MTV still played music videos.

In honour of the occasion, we just had to watch the video again.

And again.

And again!

Watch it below, and make sure you don't miss all the best things about it.

For example,

The dancing

Seriously, '90s dance moves...

...were the best thing.

The '90s style

Britney would later be known for this look,

But, once upon a time, she wore her pants higher and even had a tummy.

Also, you gotta love that '90s make-up

And oh, that HAIR!

The weird stuff

Remember how Britney's love interest was played by her cousin? Say what you like about Britney's acting, but can you look that sad and longing for a member of your family?

And did you know there was a bit of a controversy about her lyrics because people thought they promoted sadomasochism? Seriously.

The enunciation

Britney is REALLY expressive.

Who can resist that plaintive head-bob?

And, of course, she had a weird tongue thing long before Miley ever did.

Seriously Britney, we love you. Thank you for just existing, and here's to another 16 years of being awesome.

You know what?

I'm gonna watch it again! You totally should too:
