According to Channel24, Emma Watson (aka badass uberwitch Hermione Granger) will be playing everyone’s favourite bookish, feisty Disney princess, Belle, from Beauty and The Beast.
And we’re super excited about it. We LOVE Emma and we LOVE Disney movies (yes, we feel your judgement and we don’t care), so this is the PERFECT combination.

She plays book nerd so well
Her most famous role, Hermione Granger, is a notorious bibliophile. And if you’ve ever seen Beauty and The Beast, you know Belle loves her some words on pages. Plus, Emma loves reading herself.
Both Emma and Belle are feminists
If you doubt the above statement, you best think again. Belle doesn’t want to be told by anyone (especially an oppressive, brutish male like Gaston) how to live her life, and even though Beast scares her at first, she believes he should be treated as an equal and not an outcast. Emma is a UN Good Will ambassador and launched the HeForShe campaign in 2014 aimed at making gender inequality a thing of the past.
