Remember the days before smart phones, social media and selfies?
When there were big events, like the Met Gala, you had to wait until the next day to see professionally taken pictures and video of the event which didn't show you everything.
Then technology evolved and blessed us with celeb selfies, live tweeting and Instagram posts that made us feel like we were there with them having all the fun. But sadly this will not be happening at the 2015 Met Gala.
According to Jezebel, The Metropolitan Museum of Art sent out a notice to guests stating that no picture taking or social media will be permitted inside the event. That's right, we will be digitally cut off from the event as it happens, something that we have become accustomed to enjoying.
Page Six says that this is being done for the security of the guests, there is speculation that the ban is actually to limit outside coverage, as Vogue is filming a documentary of the event.
While it's not like we wont see the event at all, we will really miss seeing Kim's pouty poses and Chrissy Teigen's playful pictures.
