Photos that will make you think twice about wearing those skinny jeans

accreditation
We have all been guilty of wearing an item of clothing that was just way too tight for us.

Sometimes it’s a bra that keeps cutting into our sides or a pair of skinny jeans that require a lot of jumping, just to squeeze into it. Yes, they are basically modern-day torture devices.

An American photographer cleverly decided to show us what we are doing to our bodies when we wear really tight clothes.

And believe us, it’s rather shocking.

In his series called Impression, Justin Bartels photographed the marks that were left behind on women’s bodies after they removed their clothing.

The photographs show various body parts that have been affected by tight clothing, and the results are quite powerful.

You can clearly see the outline of the clothes, be it tight sandals or jeans. Just look at this poor woman’s feet...

According to  Refinery29, Justin said that he was inspired to do this series while dating at varsity. He said that he was fascinated by the type of clothes women wear, just to be attractive for ourselves or to others.

He hit the nail on the head with this series. The only reason anyone (ourselves included) would wear clothing that tight is because we think we look better in them.

Whether we do this to look good to be more attractive to others, or just to boost our self-esteem, there must be a more comfortable and loose way to do it!

The images though familiar (we have all seen the very same lines on our own bodies) are really quite stunning. They will make think about what type of clothes you wear and make you question why you bother with those clothes that are too tight.
