WATCH: 14 hyenas kill Kudu bull in reception area of luxury Zim safari camp
Dramatic video footage and photos emerged on Thursday of the bloody remains of a hyena kill – right in the foyer of a luxury Zimbabwe safari camp.
“In the early hours of the morning, we were woken up to find that 14 hyenas had pulled down an adult Kudu Bull... in our main (reception) area!” Kavinga Safari Camp said on its Facebook page.
“It’s going to take quite a few buckets and mops to clean up this mess!”
Photos posted by the camp show the kudu bull, his majestic spiralling horns still intact, lying dead in a large pool of blood in the middle of what was an immaculately polished floor now covered with the bloody paw prints of the kudu’s killers.

Mugabe's health condition 'is nothing serious' - source
Zimbabwe's former president Robert Mugabe is back in Singapore for medical check-up, a local privately-owned daily reported Wednesday.
The 94-year-old ex-ruler "slipped out of the country two weeks ago after his blood pressure suddenly rose to dangerous levels", one unnamed source told the NewsDay.
But another unidentified source who confirmed the trip, told paper that "it's nothing serious. It is the usual check-ups and this one, in particular was scheduled".

Jacob Zuma 'warned Zim opposition leader against pact with Mugabe': report
A newspaper claimed on Wednesday that former president Jacob Zuma warned Zimbabwean opposition leader Nelson Chamisa against joining forces with a new party linked to former president Robert Mugabe.
Chamisa leads the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Alliance of opposition parties challenging President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the ruling Zanu-PF in elections due next month.
Not amused
Mugabe, according to The Standard, is reported to have recently sent "numerous emissaries" to Chamisa's camp with an offer of "technical, moral and political" support in return for several seats for the National Patriotic Front (NPF), a party rumoured to have links to Mugabe and his wife Grace.

PICS: Photos of Zim finance minister 'officially opening' a garbage bin go viral on social media
Pictures of Zimbabwean Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa "officially opening" a garbage bin at a ceremony the north-eastern town of Rusape have gone viral on social media.
In the photos, Chinamasa is wearing a brown suit with a falling flower lapel, and he is smiling widely while cutting a bright green ribbon stretched over a large bin.
According to ZWNews, the ceremony was attended by several government officials and members of the public.

Nigerian university sacks 'sex for marks' lecturer
A lecturer has been dismissed from his post at one of Nigeria's leading universities for promising a female student higher marks in exchange for sex.
Obafemi Awolowo University said its governing body had decided Richard Akindele "should be dismissed from the services of the university for gross misconduct".
His dismissal came after the student in question released a secret recording online in April of a conversation in which the lecturer offered to improve her grade if she slept with him.
