WATCH: Hospital officials suspended after infants' corpses found in boxes

Top management of a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya has reportedly been suspended after corpses of at least 12 infants were found stuffed in boxes.

According to reports, the boxes were discovered during a surprise visit to the facility by the governor of Nairobi country, Mike Sonko.

A video posted on YouTube by  Daily Nationshowed staff at the Pumwani Maternity Hospital struggling to explain why the bodies were stuffed in boxes.

100 die in severe flooding in Nigeria: relief agency

Nigeria has declared a national disaster after severe flooding left about 100 people dead across 10 states, the country's main relief agency said on Tuesday.

Heavy seasonal rains have caused the Niger and Benue rivers to burst their banks, inundating communities, farms and trapping tens of thousands of people in their homes.

Sani Datti, from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), told AFP: "We have declared a national disaster in four states - Kogi, Delta, Anambra and Niger.

MDC party lawmakers say the president was not legitimately elected on July 30.

Tuesday's speech was Mnangagwa's first to parliament since the election many hoped would set the impoverished southern African nation on a new course after the fall of longtime leader Robert Mugabe.

Zim leader Mnangagwa wants axed Zanu-PF members back - report

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reportedly instructed his his ruling Zanu-PF party to mend relations with former party stalwarts who were axed by former president Robert Mugabe four years ago.

According to Daily News, the former Zanu-PF cadres, who were likely to be invited back into the party were former vice president Joice Mujuru, and several other liberation veterans who included Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo.

Zanu-PF’s secretary for administration, Obert Mpofu confirmed the reports, saying the plans were now at an advanced staged.

Zim's new sports minister Kirsty Coventry reveals she is pregnant

Zimbabwe's newly appointed Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Minister Kirsty Coventry, 34, says she is expecting a child next year with her husband Tyrone Seward.

Coventry, broke the news on Twitter this weekend, saying that she and her husband were expecting to be parents in May 2019.

According to New Zimbabwe.com, the couple got married in January 2013 after Seward paid "lobola" to the Coventrys for the Olympic medallist, who had earlier said she wanted a traditional marriage.
