Mugabe 'rushed' to Singapore amid 'sudden health deterioration' – report
Zimbabwean former president Robert Mugabe was reportedly "rushed" out of the country after his health "suddenly deteriorated" two weeks ago.
The privately-owned NewsDay quoted a highly placed source as confirming that the veteran politician was flown to Singapore for medical check-ups.
"He (Mugabe) slipped out of the country two weeks ago after his blood pressure suddenly rose to dangerous levels. He also had trouble with his eye which previously has been diagnosed with a cataract," the source was cited as saying.

Swaziland's proposed law on 'foreign love' is 'absurd, ridiculous' – activists
Activists in Swaziland have criticised a draft law that might force citizens to pay dearly if they want to marry a foreign national.
City Press reported over the weekend that the bill, which was still before parliament, stipulated that a Swazi citizen would have to part with 30 000 Swazi lilangeni (R29 900) to have their marriage to a foreigner registered with home affairs. This would be in addition to any payments of lobolo or dowry due to the in-laws.
The country's foreign affairs and international co-operation Minister Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze was quoted as saying that 30 000 lilangeni was nothing and was justified for those wanting to marry a foreigner.

Fears that the Zimbabwe Election Commission (ZEC) would not be able to hold a credible, free, and fair election next month are reportedly mounting in the southern African country.
SABC reported this week that candidates who should have received a complete and final voters' roll were still unable to access it.
But the electoral commission remained adamant that the July 30 elections would go ahead despite anomalies.
According to the state-owned Herald newspaper, ZEC chairperson, Judge Priscilla Chigumba, said that "only an earth quake" would stop the election.

Zim opposition leader Chamisa says 'hitmen' after him
Zimbabwe’s main opposition leader Nelson Chamisa claims he is being tailed by state security agents who might want to kill him, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The claim has been dismissed by the home affairs minister.
Chamisa, 40, told supporters at a rally in the resort town of Victoria Falls that “angels” would protect him from his would-be killers, according to the private Daily News.
“I hear they (state security agents) have set up teams that are following me but they won’t succeed in their mission because I have an angelic ark that is around me, so these earthly attempts will fail even if they want to kill me,” Chamisa was quoted as saying.
