Mugabe reveals how his 'adulterous relationship' with Grace began - report
Zimbabwean ex-president Robert Mugabe has reportedly revealed how his "adulterous relationship" with his wife Grace started, saying he just "grabbed and kissed" her when she was still his secretary and "she didn't resist".
According to New Zimbabwe.com, this happened while his now late wife Sally Mugabe was battling illness.
The nonagenarian revealed this as he addressed mourners at his mother-in-law Idah Marufu's funeral at the former first family’s Blue Roof home in Harare over the weekend.

Ex-Mugabe ally slams former first lady Grace Mugabe after she praises Mnangagwa – report
A former ally of Robert Mugabe has slammed his wife Grace, saying members of a powerful ruling party faction loyal to the former president never considered her to be their leader.
Ex-cabinet minister Jonathan Moyo was a key member of Zanu-PF's G40 faction vying for control of the party before Mugabe was ousted last year.
“I consider it an insult that some circles, especially in the media, refer to some leaders who worked with and supported President Mugabe as followers of Mrs Mugabe,” Moyo said in a statement quoted by the state-run Chronicle.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa reportedly swore-in the southern African country’s new cabinet on Monday, following the disputed July 30 elections.
According to the state-owned Herald newspaper, the 20 new cabinet ministers were sworn-in during a public ceremony attended by their families and senior government officials.
Soon after the swearing-in ceremony, the ministers expressed a renewed sense of hope and their desire to transform the country's battered economy.

Body of Kofi Annan receives hero's welcome upon landing in Ghana
The body of former UN secretary general Kofi Annan received a hero's welcome upon landing at Kotoka International Airport in Ghana's capital.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was with Annan's widow and family members on Monday as uniformed soldiers brought Annan's coffin down from the aircraft amid solemn music played by a detachment of Ghana's armed forces. Prayers followed.
To signify Annan's return home, the UN flag covering the coffin was replaced by a Ghanaian one.

Humanitarian group says 100 migrants die off Libyan coast
Doctors Without Borders says more than 100 people have died in a shipwreck off the Libyan coast and the remaining survivors are being held detention in Libya.
The humanitarian organization says in a Monday news release the shipwreck occurred Sept. 1 and survivors include people with severe burns, pregnant women and babies. A team from the organization provided medical care.
The group says two rubber boats left the Libyan coast carrying migrants from Sudan, Mali, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Libya, Algeria and Egypt. One of the boats deflated and sank.

Taking the next step in their dramatic diplomatic thaw, the leaders of Ethiopia and Eritrea on Tuesday officially opened the border where a bloody war divided them for decades, with emotional residents embracing after years of separation.
Ethiopia's reformist new Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and longtime Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki "marked the radical transformation of the Ethio-Eritrea border into a frontier of peace & friendship," Abiy's chief of staff Fitsum Arega said in a Twitter post.
The leaders visited the Bure Front with members of their militaries to mark the Ethiopian new year and later did the same at the Serha-Zalambesa crossing, Eritrean Information Minister Yemane Meskel said on Twitter.

Zimbabwe declares cholera outbreak after 20 deaths, over 2 000 cases
A cholera emergency has been declared in Zimbabwe's capital after 20 people have died, the health minister said on Tuesday.
The deaths in Harare have many fearing a repeat of the outbreak that killed thousands at the height of the southern African country's economic problems in 2008. Water and sanitation infrastructure is collapsing.
While touring a hospital, Health Minister Obadiah Moyo told reporters this outbreak is spreading to other parts of the country.
