The Kenyan government has recently announced a 16% tax increase on fuel.
Taxi driver Muriithi Kisara says they have to increase their fares by 50% with customers "feeling the pinch".
Lawmakers have also reportedly opposed the fuel tax increase as it will increase the living costs of Kenyans through a feared rise in inflation.
The tax hike by government is to fund various development goals without having to burrow funds.
