Harare – Social media was abuzz on Monday after pictures of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and his grandson emerged.
Mugabe, 92, travelled to the Far East over the weekend to meet with his first grandson.
According to the official state-owned Herald newspaper, an ecstatic Mugabe "met face-to-face" with his grandson, Simbanashe Chikore, in Singapore.
Mugabe became a grandfather for the first time after his only daughter Bona and her husband Simba Chikore had a baby boy in mid-April.
Bona and Chikore got married on March 1, 2014, in a colourful ceremony in Harare.
The glittering event was attended by several heads of state and government, with top African musician Kofi Olomide providing entertainment.
