ZEC says it's collating final results, urges public to be patient

The Zimbabwe Election Commission on Thursday appealed for patience over the presidential vote count, after opposition protests over alleged fraud turned violent when soldiers opened fire, killing three.

"ZEC implores the public to be patient as we collate the final results," said ZEC commissioner Qhubani Moyo. "Let me not give a specific time whether today or tomorrow, but there is significant progress that is happening."
