I have to say Mr Mashaba is brave man judging by his first Bafana Bafana selection. There were few selection surprises but without a shadow of doubt many would agree that the biggest surprise was that of Thulani Serero. Yes the guy had some rather awkward stroppy behavior under Gordon Igesund but that seemed to be in the past when the coach approached the end of his reign as Bafana coach. Whether that played any part in Mashaba's selection will remain hush-hush for now. May Mahlangu and Tsepo Masilelo are also out, although I may understand Mahlangu's omission which might be the long term injury he has just recovered from. Oh and how can I forget the young goalkeeper from Supersport, Dumisani Msibi, clearly bra Shakes sees something the Supersport team are not seeing in this guy, my presumption would have been Williams who supporters have long called for his selection. Having said that I salute Bra Shakes for the faith he seems to have in the younger guys, the time to prepare for the future start right now. Hopefully this new blood of the likes of Zwane, Masango, and Rivaldo, will bring new life in Bafana and perhaps we might just end being Nigeria's whipping boys.
