This morning I decided to put on my little black dress and STOCKINGS. Yes, I can already see the amazement in the eyes of my close friends and family. Stockings people, but rest assured. They did not go with heals. I'm not completely bonkers. I know my limits. With two left feet and my height I'd rather not go there.
I have a long way to fall. And fall I will. Promise you that and it won't be graceful or pretty.
After assessing myself in the mirror very briefly before I changed my mind, I grabbed my car keys and I was out the door. Brave in facing the world out there in my lady outfit. No tights! I always wear tights. No pants. Just me and my little black dress with my black stockings.
Only women will know the discomfort of those stockings, which by the way took me almost 10 minutes to put on. And yes by 10h00 I tore them after all that trouble. So for the rest of the day I've been walking around in my little black dress with my very pale legs blinding everyone around me.
Ladies, to those of you who pull it off, I salute you. The stockings, high heels and short dresses. You ladies rock. To the other fellow females who can relate to my experience don't feel bad. Wear your tights / jeans / pants with your pumps / sneakers. We are still ladies who can rock in those outfits as well.
I can guarantee you, these legs, no matter how pale, will not be getting into a pair of stockings anytime soon.
