South Africa's Ultimate Brand Ambassador 2013

Myra Manganye from Pretoria Mamelodi can now add 1st ever South Africa’s Ultimate Brand Ambassador 2013 to her CV. The beauty and brainy 26-year old was crowned on Sunday night (04 August 2013) at the up-market Montecasino, North of Johannesburg. Myra holds a National Diploma in Information Technology from Tshwane University of Technology. Zimkhitha Soshankane, an Accountant from Johannesburg Northcliff was crowned as the 1st Runner-up, with Cindy Seeber (interior decorator from Mogale City) as the 2nd Runner-up. In addition, the public choice went to Melissa Habbas, an entrepreneur with a financial accounting diploma from North West Rustenburg.


The South Africa’s Ultimate Brand Ambassadors (SAUBA) mentorship and leadership program believes that the ladies that were crowned have been successfully groomed into potential entrepreneurs and South Africa’s Philanthropists. The SAUBA reality competition is designed to mentor, empower and create brand Awareness. It interlinks Social and Corporate sectors while benefiting local communities and different charities. The drive of this reality competition is youth, social and economic development. The filming of the series is done and the journey will soon be on our local television screens aimed to air at the end of the year.

The evening kicked off with the 7 lovely Finalists in their South African Blazers as they briefly introduced themselves to the audience. This was followed by a moving tribute to our South African Icon, Tata Holihlahla Dalibhunga Nelson Mandela. Later on in the evening the 7 Finalists took the audience through their 4-month SAUBA journey dressed in beautiful evening wear courtesy of Hidden Gem International who will be dressing Myra Manganye for the year of her reign.  
The evening was hosted by Lesego Maphanga, Tshwane TV presenter and Mr SA Finalist 2013, and Mrs Tam de Vries, CEO of SA’s Ultimate Brand Ambassadors mentorship program. Entertainment on the night was provided by our local artists Zano and Keys Snow. Among the guests were CEO of Eyeslices Technology and SAUBA 2013 Judge Kerryne Krause-Neufeldt (owner of a South African eye care brand that is selling in 16 countries worldwide), MD of Quintessence and SAUBA Judge Julian Roger and Director of BB Foundation Dr Andrew de Vries.
South Africa, look out for a princess on a mission! Myra Manganye’s mission for 2013/14 is Youth, Social and Economic Development as she continues to represent different brands. She will soon be signing a contract with a cosmetics company and other brands that are associated with the SAUBA program.
