As popular as the so-called "activist" thinks he is, he has failed to capture the hearts and minds of the country. As much as it pains me to write this particular article, knowing that once again Julius Malema will receive some undeserved attention, I'm hoping that it will be the first and last of it's kind, at least from my pen.
What gives this woodworking genius the gall to proclaim to the people who were gathered outside Drakenstein Prison near Paarl (to commemorate the release of Mr Mandela), that "Racism is the legacy of De Klerk. Unemployment is the legacy of De Klerk. Shortage of houses is the legacy of De Klerk. De Klerk must never be compared with Mandela"?
Is this fool for real? Do the ANC realise how much of a public relations disaster he is to their organisation?
Julius Malema cheapens the ANC. Julius Malema only sees black vs white. Julius Malema has tried in vain to convince the people of South Africa that we are still engaged in a war. A struggle that we all know ended twenty years ago. Apartheid lost, freedom and democracy won. The "struggle" ended a long time ago. Who does he still want to fight? Will he not be silenced until he has finally managed to wedge his racist attitude between us? How much longer will his uneducated "brain farts" be tolerated?
Julius Malema does not represent the people. He does not represent democracy and freedom. He does not represent the founding legacy and principles of the ANC. He represents himself and only himself. For all those who doubt that, you only need to ask yourself the following questions?
- When last did you "cop and invite" to one of Julius Malema's parties?
- When last did Julius Malema share any of his wealth with you?
Julius Malema represents everything that will hold us back as a nation. I will not join his "struggle", because quite frankly, I don't know what or who he's struggling against.
I pray that my article will be one of the last few of its kind, so that no more attention is paid to this man with his self-serving agenda. A man who does not represent South Africa and our freedom. A man who lacks the character and heart of a true leader.
Let's not give Julius Malema anymore "airtime". We need good leaders, not so-called activists who continually strive to divide our nation. We are stronger united, than divided. So I ask again:
Who is Julius Malema?
