Cyril did not say Zuma raped Khwezi

I saw 702 published a clip of an interview with DP Cyril Ramaphosa (CR).

That led to outlash at CR with him being accused of saying that he believes that President Jacob Zuma (JZ) raped the late Khwezi (may her soul rest in peace). In my view this is a gross misunderstanding of CR's statement. 

CR was trying to express that due to the sensitive nature of rape, the sensitive thing to do, as a sensible man, is to believe her. Believing her is not an accusation of the alleged accused. CR didnt say JZ raped Khwezi, his statement is being taken out of context. If it was an attempt by 702 to boost his presidential campaign, it was a dismal failed attempt. If it was an attempt to sabbotage his campaign, and feed fire on the divide in the ANC, they just may have succeeded.

What is more disappointing is that the ANC and Office of the Presidency also fell for the setup. One would expect more maturity and vigilence from a giant in politics, such as the ANC. ANC falling for this is paramount to a Grade 12 learner falling for a scam or prank by a pre-schooler.

Let us give CR a break on this one.
