1.    GENERAL
1.1    Media24 Holdings (Proprietary) Limited ("we" or "us" or "our") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
1.2    This privacy policy (together with our terms and conditions [http://www.news24.com/SiteElements/Services/Terms-and-Conditions-20120413] sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be used, stored and processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.

2.    INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU
2.1    We may collect and process the following information about you:
2.1.1    Information that you provide by filling in forms on our website located at www.news24.com ("Website"). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Website (where relevant), subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services and/or information. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion and when you report a problem with the Website.
2.1.2    If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
2.1.3    We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
2.1.4    Details of your visits to the Website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own purposes or otherwise and the resources (content) that you access.

6.1.1    To ensure that content from our Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.

6.1.3    To allow you to participate in interactive features made available on the Website, when you choose to do so.
6.1.4    To notify you about changes to our Website.
6.2    We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by e-mailing feedback@news24.com.

6.4    We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the personal information we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

7.    DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
7.1    We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008.

7.2.2    if Media24 Holdings (Proprietary) Limited or substantially all of its users and/or assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets; and

8.    YOUR RIGHTS
8.1    You have the right to ask us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes.
