The brutal injuries he inflicted on his helpless ex-wife are enough to make your stomach turn.

But making the ordeal even worse is that Rahmah Ullah streamed the entire attack to his family in Pakistan.

The 38-year-old repeatedly hit his 34-year-old ex-wife, Raja, with the heel of his shoe while screaming, “I’m going to kill her today”, The Times writes.

Raja, a manager at UK retail giant Tesco, sustained two black eyes and several bruises to her body following the merciless attack. According to The Metro, her ex-husband has now been sentenced to a mere 14 months in jail.

The couple had been married for 13 years before their split last year, Mail Online writes.

On the day of the attack, which took place on 9 May, Rahmah had arrived at his ex-wife’s flat in Croydon, south London, to drive their daughter to school.

He persuaded the girl to give him the front door key and allowed himself in, much to Raja’s surprise.

“His wife was shocked to see him,” prosecutor Faye Rolfe told Croydon Crown Court.

Holding the phone in selfie mode, he told them he was “going to kill her today”.

Rahmah, who works as an Uber driver, then began hitting Raja with the heel of his shoe.

She managed to flee her husband’s blows and made it as far as the communal hall but Rahmah caught up with her and grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back down the hallway, knocking her head in the process.

Once back inside the flat, he threw her on the couch, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and made a stabbing gesture in her direction.

“He said, ‘I’m going to stab you.’ And she genuinely thought she was going to be killed and this was still being filmed,” Rolfe further said.

“The fact that it was filmed makes it more humiliating for the victim.”

Rahmah at first told police his ex-wife had attacked him but eventually admitted what he’d done.

In her victim-impact statement after the incident Raja had said she sleeps poorly since the encounter.

“I’m aching all over and have a bruise to my head, where I was dragged by the hair.

“I’m scared to sleep, in case my husband gets back in the house to kill me.

“I took a week off work because I didn’t want to be seen in that state.”

This week Rahmah was sentenced to 14 months behind bars and has been issued with an indefinite restraining order which prevents him from contacting his ex-wife.
