Disturbing footage of a woman hitting and biting her dog – while he cries out in pain – has gone viral.
The blonde woman, whose name is not yet known, was filmed in the Toronto subway on Friday 7 August.
The upsetting footage was uploaded to YouTube by Roxy Huang and has already received more than 590 000 views.
The woman can be seen yelling “stop it right now” at her helpless little doggy and then starts hitting and biting the dog while he squeals out in pain.
The terrified dog then tries to walk away from her but she tugs at his leash so hard that the frightened little pooch cries out once again.
But it doesn’t take too long before an alarmed passenger walks up to the woman and demands she “stop hitting the dog”.
Train passengers quickly told a transit worker about the horrid incident and the woman was escorted off the train by three subway staff members.
According to Global News, the Toronto police released the woman with just a warning after they couldn’t find any noticeable injuries on the pup.
But now that the video has gone viral, the Ontario SPCA has taken it upon themselves to look into the heartbreaking matter.
