An Argentinian woman was found naked and chained to a bed after being held captive by her dad and brother for 20 years.
Marisa Almirón (42), from Venado Tuerto in Argentina, was apparently imprisoned by her father after he discovered she was dating someone, reports Metro.
Police found the naked woman tied to a bed surrounded by her excrement after a neighbour heard her frantically screaming.
The 42-year-old allegedly had signs of malnutrition and is said to be psychologically affected by the confinement.
“My home became a living hell because of the screams I could hear through the walls,” the neighbour told media.
“That woman suffered a lot of bad things.”
The Sun reports that Marisa was rushed to Hospital Alejandro Gutierrez where she’s currently receiving treatment.
Her father reportedly held her captive for eight years but later died. Her brother then took over and kept her chained for a further 12 years.
According to the publication Diario Jornada, police have launched an investigation into the matter. Her brother is yet to be arrested.
