Woman who climbed into lion enclosure to taunt animal is arrested

A woman who climbed into a lion enclosure to taunt the big cat has been arrested.

A month ago she turned into a social media sensation after a video of her risking her life and climbing into a lion enclosure at the Bronx Zoo in New York went viral.

The woman, who’s since been identified as Myah Autry (30), was taken into custody by the New York police (NYPD) and faces two charges of criminal trespassing, according to People.

Before going to the police station, Myah revealed on her Instagram page that she’d be turning herself in.

Detectives went to the area where she took the video and arrested her.

She was reportedly dressed in an NYPD shirt, CNN reported.

The lion enclosure wasn’t the only one Myah climbed into at the zoo.

She also entered the giraffe enclosure and described the animal as beautiful, according to the Daily Mail.
