AMANZIMTOTI Athletic Club participated in a number of events over the weekend.

Results from the Kaapsehoop Marathon, held on Saturday, November 3:

21.1km: N. James 2:11:53

42.2km: E. Luckfield 3:17:59; B. Luckfiel 3:55;52; L. Botha 4:24:07; G. Mnisi 4:43:44

The Soweto Marathon was held on Sunday, November 4. Results as follows:

10km: K. Balaram 1:17:52; F. Mtshali 1:42:57

21.1km: B. Mafuleku 2:13:09; M. Ntombela 3:21:47

42.2km: S. Mtungwa 3:05:52; M. Maphumulo 3:12:00; N. Khathi 3:21:29; M. Radebe 3:56:26; K. Letebele 4:09:18; M. Mhlongo 4:20:30; W. Mtungwa 4:34:14; S. Silangwe 4:38:22; T. Mutungwa 4:41:04; S. Msomi 4:44:48; S. Mbatha 4:48:21

UPCOMING RACES

The Oldies 10 km will be held on Sunday, November 11 at the Crusaders Sports Club, starting at 6 am. The Bluff Marathon, hosted by Bluff Athletic club, will be held on Sunday, November 18, starting at 5 am. The Sani Stagger will be held on Saturday, November 24, at the Sani Pass Hotel, starting at 6 am. The Hope Challenge will be held on Sunday, November 15, at Curries Fountain, starting at 6 am.

TIME TRIALS

Athletes participated in Time Trials on Wednesday, October 31. The following results were recorded:

4km Walk: H. Livingston 39;14; A. Olivier 42:39; M. Carson 42:39

4km Run: C. Clarke 23:33; D. Taljaard 23:52; P. Stewart 27:23; C. Farrimond 27:23

8km Run: M. Radebe 36:14; D. Swart 37;09; C. Botha 37:34; J. Duvenhage 39:53; D. Lodder 55:02; R. Nel 55:02; C. Visagie 55:02

Membership / Social Membership will open for 2019 on December 1. To become a member of the club, visit the Club on the first Wednesday of the month, from 5.30 pm — 7 pm. Alternatively, e-mail toti.ac.secretary@gmail.com or visit our website www.totiac.co.za for more info and membership forms. Please note that reflective belts are mandatory for time trials.

Weekly time trials are held on Wednesday – starting at 5.30 pm for walkers and at 6 pm for runners (4 km or 8 km route). Please meet at the clubhouse at Hutchison Park. On Saturdays there is an 11 km run and walk from the club house at 5.30 am for walkers and 6 am for runners. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided afterwards. Visitors are more than welcome to join in and keep fit.
