Zanzibar under new ownership

ZANZIBAR restaurant, which is based at 149 Kingsway on Warner Beach for the past 12 years, is now under new ownership.

The new owners Johnny and Melissa Buchling, who have years of business experience in various sectors, recently moved to Amanzimtoti in order to be closer to family and friends, and to escape the rat race life of Gauteng.

The Buchlings decided to look for a restaurant which is well known and also be able to put their label on it. While doing research and speaking to locals, they heard of Zanzibar and because of the good report on the quality of the food, they decided to acquire Zanzibar with the aim of turning it around to be known as the best restaurant in Toti.

The restaurant specialises in seafood, steaks, ribs, eisbein and is especially known for the best wood fire pizza in Toti. Their eisbein and prawns are of the highest quality and are amongst the most popular items on the menu. The chefs at Zanzibar are well trained, their food is of a high quality and they get a lot of compliments for their creations.

The owners ensure that although there are many food specials on the menu, the quality of the food won’t ever be compromised. Patrons can expect service to be greatly improved through good training for waiters and the atmosphere will be a relaxed island vibe, where all will feel comfortable and at ease while dining with family or friends. Zanzibar’s waiters are friendly and they place huge emphasis on quick and efficient service, while the bartenders can make the best cocktails in the business.

Already many changes on the inside and outside decor have been completed, but there will be many more changes to come.

The restaurant caters to the community through their specials to make dining more affordable for all especially after a long day or week.

The community is invited to support Zanzibar and all are welcome to comment on their Facebook page or leave your number at Zanzibar to join the WhatsApp group. All upcoming events and specials will be posted on those platforms.
