Bafana ready to compete

Going into the Inter LFA Cup, Young Bafana’s (YB) under-16 coach is confident his charges will collect the needed three points.

Sunday’s (15 July) game against Makhaza LFA follows YB’s two previous games, in which they won one and lost the other.

When City Vision visited the Lwandle Sports Ground on Wednesday the under-16s were hard at work going through their paces.

Coach Veron Peter said the YB fans will not be disappointed by their team on Sunday.

“My boys are ready,” he said. “We want to assure our fans that we will not disappoint them. We represent the entire Helderberg and are eager to collect the maximum points.”

The Inter LFA Cup sees teams from LFAs affiliated to Safa Cape Town do battle for the coveted trophy. After the group stage, teams will advance to the knockout stage so collecting points is vital.
