Digital marketing guru

I, Avani Roopan together with my husband, Rickesh Roopan, founded Lee’s Electronics in Verulam, which is now one of the biggest accredited satellite installation company in KZN.

With just over 10 years experience in my field, I launched my very own digital marketing company, called Hashtag Digital SA.

I specialise in digital marketing (social media, website design, Google Ads, business branding and training in these sectors) and am also a social media influencer with a significant follower count to my social media platforms. I have been invited to numerous events to motivationally address women and the youth; which I love doing as it allows me to get to know women from all walks of life and to learn how I can assist them in any way to better themselves. I now am planning free training for women in Verulam who struggle to find work as a tool to help them find work. I also offer workshops for women who have start-up businesses and want to know more about marketing in the digital space. I also work closely with Denver Naicker, PRO of Hirsch Homestore as well, inviting businesswomen to network at the Hirsch’s network mornings. I have various social media accounts with high followings including followers like Sorisha Naidoo, Sureshnie Rider, Bianca Sadie, Claudette Sigamoney, Phindi Gule, Iman Sheik, Riona Maharaj, Simmi Ramnarain, Margaret Hirsch, just to name a few. People can find me on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat. My vision is to develop, nurture and support confident female leaders and equip them with the skills and knowledge required to establish their own goals and follow through on commitments.

Through self esteem and confidence building, these women will learn to believe in themselves and this will be one of the foundational factors contributing to their confidence and receptiveness to leadership opportunities in school, work, and their community. My goal is to educate, inspire and empower young women to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives, to inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and instil a sense of hope in their future. I believe it is vital to expand the perspective of young women to make them aware of life’s possibilities.
