MISS Eagle South Africa 2018 contestant Slindile Makhonza has managed to get into the semi-finals of the competition and is now asking for community support to enable her to secure the title at the final event, which takes place in December.
Makhonza, from the Fairview area in Ixopo, entered the competition in November last year after she saw it advertised on social media.
To secure the title, she is required to do community work and receive the most Facebook “likes”.
In March, she told the Fever about how she was helping grade one to grade seven pupils with maths, reading and spelling at an outreach programme in Ixopo. This month she visited orphanages and donated blankets to underprivileged people as part of her volunteer work.
Makhonza is studying occupational health and safety at Oxbridge Academy in Stellenbosch.
“I am glad to enter the semi-finals because the competition is highly contested by many people. I am looking forward to winning the title,” said Makhonza.
To vote for her, SMS Slindile Makhonza to 35334 and follow her Facebook page — Slindile Makhonza Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 Contestant-KZN.
