THE sound of powerful engines on the move could be heard in Kokstad as bikers from across the country attended a rally at Karg Post Farm, just 7km outside Kokstad, last weekend.
The event kicked off on October 26 with music and entertainment. On Saturday, bikers drove around Kokstad to Karg Post Farm, where the main event was hosted. Guests were treated to games, music and beverages and the festivities continued until Sunday morning.
Local biker’s club Crystal Kings decided to host this rally in an attempt to garner change in the community of Kokstad and surrounding areas.
The club’s president, Colin Napier, thanked the community for their support, as well as the bikers who attended the event.
“Bikers from Port Elizabeth and Cape Town attended and have promised to support us,” said Napier.
He said proceeds from the rally will be spent on buying Christmas toys for children, stationary for their back to school programme in January, and warm blankets for poor families in winter.
He said bikers are not only there for entertaining communities, but they also want to create positive change.
Sponsors were also thanked for supporting the event.
