Mayor visits projects

RESIDENTS of the Dr Nkosazana DlaminiZuma Municipality have reason to smile, with a number of developmental projects taking place.

This is thanks to various projects by Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality.

Mayor Ngenisile Mncwabe, together with other municipal councillors, did a media tour to a number of projects.

These include KwaPitela Crèche, Underberg Roads, Bulwer Community Hall, Gala Community Hall, Nyazi Access Road, Glean Maize Electrification, Sawoti Sport Field and many more projects.

Inspecting progress in the projects, Mncwabe said as the sphere of government it would important to bring service delivery close to the communities to all 15 wards under the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality.

“I am very happy about the progress of the projects and we are working hard to change the life of our ordinary citizen,” said the mayor.

Mncwabe promised communities that the municipality would fulfil their commitment to bringing services to the people although the budget is not big enough.

She asked communities not to vandalize services that are already in place in their area because it will mean that they are working backwards.

“What makes me happy is that, with the little money that we have, we are trying our best to spend wisely.

“I am proud to say that, whatever we do in our projects we are spending money wisely.”
