Pupils inspired to read and learn at school event

GRADE eight pupils from Thembalethu Senior Secondary in Kokstad participated in a number of activities; including reading books and poems, storytelling and drama; at a school event held in Bhongweni Youth Centre on Wednesday.

The event was held to promote reading and learning among young people.

School principal Noligwa Magwaza said the school was shaping pupils for future.

“We promote quality learning and teaching in the school by giving out trophies, medals and certificates to pupils who have performed well in poems, drama and book reading,” she said.

Grade eight pupils Nobuhle Radebe and Ntlakanipho Gxuba, who performed in the reading activity, said they were very happy to have been able to participate in the event.
