Skills and training centre ready to prosper in new year after a positive 2018

THE Sivile Skills and Training Centre held its annual meeting on November 1. The meeting was held at iThembalabantu Centre in Kokstad and was attended by staff, students, board members and other members of the community.

The board chairperson, Owen Peters, presented the 2017/2018 financial year report at the meeting and he thanked board members for working with him.

“In the past years, I have had the pleasure of watching the centre grow from strength to strength under the strong leadership of chief executive officer Teresa Olivier, board members and staff. “I want to thank all the donors who supported the centre,” he said, adding that the centre is ready to prosper in the next financial year, 2018/2019.

The centre confirmed that nine of their students have completed wood-work and furniture training and were awarded certificates for their achievements.
