Body found on N12

The police in Kimberley are appealing to members of the community to assist with any information that can help them identify the body of a man found on the N12 near Kimberley on the morning of 1 August.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim whose body was found on the N12 just 20 km outside Kimberley, had been killed in a hit-and-run accident. The victim is believed to have been in his early 30’s.

According to Capt. Olebogeng Tawana, police spokesperson, a case of culpable homicide has been opened. “The deceased was wearing a red and blue track suite, with white tekkies,” Tawana said. Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, WO Desmond Markgraaff of the Kimberley Detective Unit, on 078-047-4437 or
