Government invites the nomination of candidates for the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic (CRL) Communities.
Nominations can be made by the public and member organisationsand must meet legislative requirements to ensure the commission is composed a way broadly representative of the main cultural, religious and linguistic communities in South Africa, broadly reflecting the country’s gender composition.
Nominations must include:
- personal details;
- particulars of involvement in cultural, religious and linguistic affairs (including a list of organisations of which the nominee is a member, office-bearer or in which that nominee is an active participant);
- particulars of knowledge and experience concerning issues relevant to the promotion and protection of the rights of cultural, religious and linguistic communities; and
- nation-building and any other information relevant to the nomination.
