Deal reached for water payment plan

Bloem Water announced that an agreement has been reached with the Mangaung Metro to release raw water from the Rustfontein Dam to the Mockes Dam. The two entities have agreed on a payment plan, with the Mangaung Metro committing to honour the plan.

Bloem Water initially objected to the metro’s request, citing the council’s non-payment of its monthly water bill. This has been in dispute for the past three months.

The city council reportedly owes Bloemwater about R776 million.
