Bloemfontein is the latest city in South Africa to be added to the Premier Hotel Group’s portfolio as they increase their footprint across the country.
The group owns the newly built Premier Splendid Inn Bloemfontein in Zastron Street, formerly the Stanville Inn Hotel.
The group has invested R95 million to rebuild this hotel into a state-of-the-art facility, in line with its standard and tradition of offering quality accommodation and friendly service to South Africans and international visitors alike.
The facility has undergone major renovations to include the extension of a new hotel wing, five new floors and a conference facility.
The aim is to meet the standards of the growing city by offering modern accommodation.
Ideally located close to historical landmarks, the hotel offers three-star accommodation within walking distance from main government buildings, the Mimosa Mall, City Hall, local municipal offices and hospitals.
It also offers a central location from which to access all the major tourist attractions and the Toyota Free State Rugby Stadium in the area.
Once completed, the Premier Splendid Inn Bloemfontein will provide 88 rooms that include 20 double rooms, 50 twin rooms, 13 king rooms, three executive suites and two bedrooms for people with disabilities.
According to Samuel Nassimov, managing director and founder of the hotel chain, over 80 jobs were created during the construction phase, while the operational phase will create jobs for over 50 people.
The hotel opened its doors on 25 November.
The first phase includes a restaurant, reception, lounge area and 48 rooms.
