Kidnapping suspect sought

The Frances Baard Cluster’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit appeals to the community to assist in tracing a man sought in connection with an attempted kidnapping case.

It is alleged that the suspect snatched a three-year-old boy while playing with other children, from outside his home in Galeshewe. Police spokesperson Capt. Olebogeng Tawana said the suspect dropped the boy and ran away after the boy’s mother yelled at him.

The boy was rescued after one of the children who was playing with, reported the matter to the boy’s mother.

Members of the public are urged to come forth with any information that could assist us to apprehend the suspect. Call Sgt Reginald Zephe on 072-575-2980 or 053-807-6161, or dial 08600-10111.
