The Northern Cape continues to boast with extraordinary summer holiday destinations that friends and family are encouraged to explore throughout this festive season, making it a good way to connect and celebrate the holidays.
The Northern Cape Tourism Authority (NCTA) has started its summer campaign aimed at encouraging visitors and travellers to spend a day or more in the province and experience summer offerings.
The launch was held at Flamingo View on Thursday (06/12).
Visitors are encouraged to utilise this venue for a spectacular view of the Kamfers dam.
Either travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town or vice versa, the Northern Cape roads are well maintained and travellers are promised that they can take their time and reach their destination without being on a rush, either travelling via the N12, N1, N14, N7 or R63.
“The province offers great accommodation establishments in all five regions, friendly people with rich culture, historical monuments, delicious local food, beautiful scenery and open landscapes every traveller would not like to miss,” promises Sharon Lewis, CEO of the NCTA.
Mac Jack, the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, invited summer holiday visitors to make time to visit the province’s tourist attractions and offerings.
“Summer is the perfect time to know your province, know your country and take a Sho’t Left in the Northern Cape,” said Jack.
He said for those seeking culture, nature and adventure experiences, the province also boasts six routes which can offer self-tailored itineraries or be explored by making a booking at one of the registered tour operators.
“For more information on summer campaign offers, make sure to stop at your nearest tourism information office and grab one of the summer booklets that will help you with the most interesting things to do and see in the Northern Cape this summer,” urged Jack.
He reminded those attending about the Northern Cape’s joint venture with the Free State Gambling, Liquor and Tourism Authority as cross-border partners to sell both provinces’ tourism.
Jack highlighted the planned NCTA summer campaign a ctivation points in Colesberg, Kimberley, Hanover and Britstown over the festive season.
