Arcadia Fete well-supported by the community

ON November 3, Arcadia held their annual fete. We had another successful day which was well supported by the community. All the money raised at the fete goes directly towards the running costs of the home.

We currently have 28 residents who are all appreciative of the support that we receive from our local community.

WE ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL TO THE FOLLOWING ORGANISATIONS/COMPANIES FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE:

Vuno’s Bakery — donation of donuts and cream buns

Hermannsburg Church — arranged the tea garden

St James Church — donated cakes

St Peter’s Lutheran Church — donated fresh produce

Hindu community — donated breyani

Coastal Church — arranged the raffle

NG Church — arranged the pancake table

Shalom Fellowship — arranged the pancake table

Catholic Church — arranged the cake table

Methodist Church — donated cooldrinks

His Church — organised the kiddies entertainment

Assemblies of God — cash donation

Elijah Ministries — donated curry

Taylor’s Coffee Shop — donated cakes

Rusty Bike Riders — supplied boerewors rolls and second hand clothing

Mrs J Litterick — cash donation

Mr A Liddamore — cash donation

Lastly, a big thank you to the community at large for the donations of second hand clothing and household goods.

Raffle tickets can still be purchased at Arcadia, please contact Lynn Fouche should you wish to buy tickets. At the end of October we bid farewell to Lorraine Surendorff who has been with us for the past 18 years. Amongst other duties, she oversaw the preparation of many meals during her time at Arcadia. On behalf of the residents, staff and committee, we wish her well during her retirement. Please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or view our website at
