Busani High School graduation

UMVOTI Aids Centre has been facilitating the “My body, My life, My choice” module at Busani High School from the beginning of August as part of its initiative to educate and empower pupils to make better life choices and decisions that will have a positive impact on their future.

The topics covered are personal hygiene, peer pressure, drug and substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, TB, HIV/Aids, sexually transmitted diseases, and gender-based violence. A total of 335 Grade 11 pupils graduated from the module on August 24, with assistance from the life orientation teachers Miss Xulu and Miss Ngcobo.

We are grateful to the principal Mr K G Khumalo for authorising this programme as well as Nkanyiso Mchunu (pupil) for an impressive thank you speech; and the National Lottery Commission for funding this programme.
