Daisy Creek to rock in eNhlalakahle on Spring Day

THE Daisy Creek Festival will be celebrating Spring Day with the eNhlalakahle community this Saturday, September 1.

Umvoti Community Tourism Organisation, organisers of the inaugural Daisy Creek Festival to take place from December 14 to 17, are promoting this event at Mdluli’s Place in eNhlalakahle this Saturday.

“We are recreating some of what you will experience in December at the festival, now, for the community, we want to have something for everybody,” says UCTO chairperson Sean Slatter.

“We have a DJ on deck, we want to shisanyama and have a good time. Our Daisy promoters will tell you all about the festival, and what opportunities may exist for you to be a part of the festival, and we encourage everyone to come and have some relaxed fun with us on Saturday.”

The Daisy Creek Festival is a three-day music, fashion and lifestyle extravaganza to be held on the Lake Merthley from December 14.

Already plans are underway to renovate and secure the lake precinct in anticipation of this festival that will attract from local to international visitors for three days of fun, music and lifestyle.

For next Saturday, the idea is to have a low-key celebration of spring and have some like-minded people having fun together in the sun.

While the entry to Mdluli’s will be free, VIP tickets are R250 per person and will entitle you to a VIP area with your own shisanyama and bar service.

A few local DJs will be part of the package, playing music for the assembled pleasure seekers and enjoying spring.

The festival promotion will be in the form of a street carnival, meat and drinks will be available for sale, from 11 am until late. No cooler boxes are allowed.

The idea is to have fun in the sun and get to ask questions about one of Greytown’s biggest tourism initiatives, the Daisy Creek Festival. Security will be provided.
